Shofar Kings is a Judaica company and traditional shofar workshop based in Jerusalem – a city that has stood at the heart of Jewish history, faith, and tradition for thousands of years.
Our story is deeply personal. The workshop is led by David Saar, a Jerusalem native, born in 1967 during the Six-Day War – a defining moment in the modern history of Israel.
From childhood, David was drawn to the mysterious and powerful sound of the shofar, a sound that has echoed through Jewish life for generations.
What began as a deep fascination became a lifelong calling.
Over the years, David acquired extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the ancient art of shofar making, preserving traditional craftsmanship without shortcuts or industrial processes.
Our Craft
Every shofar produced in our workshop is kosher, natural, and handcrafted.
The production follows ancient Biblical tradition, with careful attention to sound quality, shape, and authenticity.
We specialise in a wide range of shofars, including:
- Ram’s horn shofars (Morina), including rare pearl and light-toned variations
- Yemenite shofars (Kudu) in various sizes
- Shofars selected for deep, powerful, and clear sound
Each piece is individually inspected and refined by hand, ensuring that no two shofars are ever exactly alike.
Judaica, Tradition & Personal Service
David’s professional life has always been closely connected to Judaica, Jewish heritage, and personal service. For many years, he managed Judaica stores in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.
Today, the work continues from a small and authentic workshop located in the historic Katamon neighbourhood of Jerusalem – a place that reflects the spirit, diversity, and history of the city itself.
